Review of Stone (2010) by Susan A — 31 Jan 2011

This is a film for adults. Not because of the adult sexual content, ( although that there is, and this is not appropriate for teenagers). The message is challenging regardless of the level on which it is read. On the low end it is a fascinating study of several disturbing characters. On the high end it is an exploration of souls on their journeys from stone - upward.

The acting is superb. The two actors cast against type are revelatory. I can't think of any roles they've done like these before. It's too bad this film has gone unnoticed, and unappreciated. I believe there are multiple Academy Award worthy performances here.
