Review of Stefan Zweig: Farewell to Europe (2016) by Kenji Fujishima for Paste Magazine — 11 May 2017
The film may not be a hagiography, necessarily, but it similarly turns its central figure into a wax figure, albeit one of deep sadness. Perhaps, though, Zweig fans will get more out of Schrader's film than neophytes.
