Review of Starsky & Hutch (1975) by Adam S — 06 Feb 2014
Ben Stiller can get rather repetitious with some of his films, but Starsky & Hutch is one of his better efforts, IMO.
Combining Stiller with regular co-star Owen Wilson as the titular detective duo, Starsky & Hutch also benefits from a top class supporting cast including Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Will Ferrell and Snoop Dogg, who is much more charismatic on screen than I'd have suspected.
Combining with an overly silly plot concerning untracable cocaine (that seems to have the special power of looking like artificial sweetener to a forensics lab), this combines for a rollicking good time with plenty of 70's style charm. Decent soundtrack, too.
A fun revival of a classic TV series.
