Review of Stars in My Crown (1950) by Todd F — 21 Sep 2008
Really nice find. Joel McCrea his usual amazing self. Plays a humble, charismatic white preacher in reconstruction rural southern town. The black actors don't act ridiculous. The Klan situation is addressed, albeit in a paternalistic, white-savior manner.
But given the time, a decent step forward.
