Review of Spider Lilies (2007) by Jin I — 23 Aug 2007

I'd prefer Hu Die by Mak Yan Yan for a good chinese lesbian film from a woman filmmaker. Storyline is a bit slow. Isabella and rainie are very charismatic young talents and the plot has a good start but everything as a whole seems underdeveloped.

Rainie's character resembles too much of Natalie Portman's in Closer. Many beautiful little moments thou.
