Review of Space Truckers (1996) by Matthew C — 30 May 2010
Square Pigs! Space Truckers is right out of the crazy, 80s style, low budget science fiction mindset, and it's a blast. Dennis Hopper is just a working Joe, trying to make a few bucks hauling whatever for the giant corporations.
When he runs afoul of a sleazy middleman and a conspiracy to take over the Earth, things get hairy. Plenty of fun little gags, cool characters actors, and Stuart Gordon's own brand of deviant humor, it's kind of a mix of Heavy Metal and Lexx.
Worth checking out, but keep your sense of humor. And honestly, this is worth the price of admission for Charles Dance's performance alone.
