Review of Space Station 76 (2014) by Adrian Z — 22 Sep 2014
Stylistically Space Station 76 seems to recreate the look of TV space operas of the late 70s, and to a degree it does an interesting job when it comes to props and set designs - otherwise the HD digital video look sit at odds with the analog visuals of the era being paid homage.
The major issue, however, becomes the intense indecisiveness with the film's tone. Part comedy - but often too subdued to be the spoof one may assume this to be - part aimless melodrama, amounting only to petty jealousies and neurotic squabbles among couples and crew members living on a space station.
In other words, a pointless misfire.
