Review of Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball (2010) by Juan B — 16 Feb 2010
Suprisingly good sequel, well prequel. Tom Berenger plays excellently Walter Weed an FBI desc jockey, who'se head is on bounty. Nice twist considering the Sniper trilogy, that Berenger is on the other end of the scope.
Clayne Crawford plays the agent that leads the operation to protect Walter. Clayne and Tom had nice chemistry together. There are those killers also, Tommy Flanagan reprising his role as the face-shifting Lazlo Soot, Michael Parks as the Tremor family papa, Vinnie Jones as "The Surgeon", Martha Rigareda as the killer with poisenous kiss and there are several more.
Plot has nice twists, which bare resemblence to The Usual Suspects, but in the nice way.
