Tension and aggression build to an almost unbearable level in this atmospheric and meditative look at small town life. Boasting stellar performances, calculated editing and a unique, powerful soundtrack, Small Town Murder Songs comes highly recommended so long as you have the patience for a slower paced movie.
The only drawback is the short running time as the film could have done with the extra breathing space to build upon certain characters and themes.
