Review of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow (2004) by Scott M — 09 Sep 2010

Although some aspects of the film really don't work (I'm looking at you Angelina Jolie), this movie is chock-full of fun, and really feels like an old-time serial from the 30's and 40's.

Jude Law is great as Sky Captain, and Paltrow/Ribisi are excellent. This movie really is a lot of fun, and it's a shame so much financial pressure was put on it to be a summer blockbuster because that really isn't what this movie is.
