Review of Sing Street (2016) by Chad H — 21 Mar 2016
I definitely made the correct choice seeing this one tonight. Another lovely little film from Ireland (quite popular lately) set in the mid 1980's Dublin about a hodge-podge group of 15 yr old kids from an all-boys Benedictine Catholic high school who want to start a band just to make music videos like they see on television for an hour a week from MTV in America.
They start off a bit rocky but slowly find their voice. Very well done in all respects. I will definitely buy the soundtrack both for the original tunes as well as the great 80's tracks used in the movie.
Be sure to catch this gem of a film when it opens in a few weeks...
