Maybe not for the small-attention-spanned, but just about the best movie ever from every actor and actress in it. And some of the scenes are just unbelievable: Jack Lemmon trying to apologize for a lifetime of neglect, Frances McDormand in the diner, even Andie McDowell is fantastic.

Some of the scenes are so packed with meaning, and all of the characters are really alive and full of heart. The best of Altman's movies, and better than all the pretenders (Magnolia, Boogie Nights, etc.

etc.). If you want to see how this kind of thing can go horribly wrong in the wrong hands, rent Crash (the recent one, not the Cronenberg one).
