Review of Shooting Fish (1997) by Jacob F — 05 Jul 2007
A classic British 90s film with a matching classic late BritPop soundtrack (Space, Strangelove, Bluetones) - although the actors in it have gone on to bigger things (Beckinsale - that rubbish Underworld film; Townsend - that rubbish League of Extraordinary Gentlemen film; Futterman - one episode of Sex and the City), it is clear they haven't done anything better than this (although Futterman did win an Oscar for Capote).
A great plot, and you feel full of warmth for all the characters, and by the ending you are very happy.
I used to have this on VHS but someone stole it when I moved house after my 2nd year of uni. grrr.
