Roger Moore and Patrick McNee play Holmes/Watson in this very delightful adaptation that finds Holmes on the other side of pond to rescue Irene Adler's (Charlotte Rampling) son.

All the players are here in this adaptation. John Huston plays a quite spooky Moriarty and Moore does a dashing job as Sherlock.

It is fun to note that Moore/McNee would reteam for thirteen years later in Moore's last outing as James Bond in "A View to a Kill". It is interesting to see that their dynamic in that film kind of started in this one. They have so much fun together. 4 out of 5 So Says the Soothsayer.
