Review of Shelter (2014) by Alejandro S — 06 May 2018
Shelter is a delicate movie, A beautiful and sometimes brutal jewel. It talks with the force of a visual poem. It constantly contrast the beauty of his images with the harsh ugliness of the world he describe.
I think Paul Betanny is an extraordinarily storyteller: clearly is a man with the vision (no pun intended) to take a simple image (a couple of homeless living outside his building) and transform that in a compelling story about damaged and lost souls fighting for their chance to be happy.
I recommend this movie to everybody and I convinced we need more movies like this (and less like Avengers).
