Review of Shaolin Grandma (2008) by Long L — 15 Sep 2011
A mailman finds the body of an old lady, calls the police and has to wait for their arrival. There he finds what he thinks is her will and proceeds to read about her life. So, the rest of the movie is a "flashback." Of course, there is no younger version of this woman's story. It starts and ends with her as a "grandma." She's a Shaolin master that loses her temple to a younger rival. The movie proceeds with her dealing with it and coming back to win it back.
It has plenty of cheesy scenes. The acting is bad. The special effects... are there. But it's not that entertaining. And the ending, terrible. It's like they didn't know what to do, so they made up something on the spot.
