Review of Sex and Fury (1973) by Dave A — 28 Jun 2008
O.k. I realize this one was the most well crafted of the two "ocho" movies. Female yakuza tale had a ridiculous plot and over the top exploitation, but I actually preferred it for what it was. Let's just say, it was more entertaining, and sex and fury is obviously the gem of the two. It's got a descent plot, nice lighting uses and set pieces, acting ranges from terrible (ahem...lindberg) to pretty good (reiko ike).
Last thing I will say about this film is...reiko ike's character "ocho" is so well played and well crafted. She is sexy, captivating, bad-ass, she really shines with this role.
