Review of Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (2010) by Tim F — 30 May 2010
Very intreging comboscenes of his youth as a boy, mostly in the horrid orphanage and his life when he stumbles into legendary , often recurring in flashbacks- making a point of how he feels about certain things, reminders, reasons for his outbursts.
Also the tourtravel is shortened by a mix of the music and flashy images. The druggedthrough band life is never abscent. Very good portrayed father-son relation, the social troubles and the drag of his leg, showing a hardened man, proclaiming his poetry and fantasies in 'cooked' states.
The 3 persona of the kids; young Ian, his son and the kid in the hospital could resemble his stance in life; respectively suffering, rebellion and prevailing. Very good biopic!!
