Review of Sex and Breakfast (2007) by Luke S — 06 Feb 2008
Awful, terrible writing. The budget of an indie film minus the indeliable charm. I read it reviewed as 'a boring, self-absorbed talkfest'...very accurate. The writers it seemed went with any gag that popped into their heads - and the editor was nowhere to be found. Possibly he was watching group sex porn - the movie's inspiration, perhaps? Inspiration being a loose term, as this is not an inspired film. The acting was crap, there was no editing to speak of, and even the little known music that adds charm to most such offerings was, in this case, nothing special.
Before you get excited about the idea of sex, there is next to none, and even THAT seems poorly done.
It is rare to find a movie with such a lack of redeeming value - really the only thing it manages to accomplish.
The star is for being unapologetic for it's content, and because Jamie Ray Newman was one beautiful redhead.
