Review of Scandal (1989) by Dan P — 27 Jul 2009
GREAT MOVIE, filmed perfectly by Michael Caton-Jones. Excellent job of capturing the early 60s in London. A couple of underage party girls brought down the entire ruling British regime - too many old men running around and sleeping with whoever they could.
These girls weren't even 21 when all this happened! Joanne Whalley is the one in love with her liaison, John Hurt. Bridget Fonda is her more flippant friend. Ian McKellen plays a great John Profumo.
