Review of Satan's Little Helper (2005) by Adgee H — 01 Nov 2009
This movie is a total gem among horror movies. I really didn't know what to expect when I bought it from the cheep ben at our local rental place, but I can never pass up a horror movie. At first I was wary, as the cinematography isn't the keenest, and the acting is a little forced, but by the end of it I was thrilled to have picked this movie up.
Though I didn't find it scary, I did find it particularly amusing with its sadistic moments of torture, and the slow realization of the child anti-hero that his Satanic idol is exactly that: Satanic.
What is initially fun for the child becomes a nightmare when the people he loves become the victims of his would-be-hero. I certainly don't agree with the idea that video games can cause this sort of mayhem, but I can overlook that little hiccup just because of how fun and ultimately horrifying this film is.
