Review of Samurai Rebellion (1967) by Deanomite — 06 Feb 2020
The overall quality is not up to Kurosawa levels, I think the dialog recorded in post production is too sterilized. The photography also is not as good, looks like security video. I don't know what exactly makes Kurosawa so good, only know what is missing.
The Tokugawa period is interesting, from 1600 to 1900 covers the main samurai period and its end. Peace was maintained through absolute obedience to authority. I am certain it is a good movie, just not accessible to me.
