Review of Roma (2018) by Steve S — 01 Jan 2019
Alfonso Cuaron has create a beautiful and moving picture that feels completely authentic and real. Yalitza Aparicio is wonderful in the lead as Cleo, a young nanny who has all but abandoned her own life to care for others.
When she reaches the worst moments of her own life, she must endure those moments alone. It is heartbreaking. One of the finest works of art in filmmaking for 2018. I just wish that Netflix treated Oscar worthy films better, by giving them a longer theatrical run and ensuring a DVD release.
