Review of Rocket Gibraltar (1988) by Casey U — 24 Feb 2007
This is a great movie; starring a lot of people before attention was paid to them -Kevin Spacey, Bill Pullman, and a very young McCauley Culkin. This is not a particularly deep film but it's highly enjoyable for the simplicity and relatability of the story.
The grown children of Lancaster's character and their own families return to their father's home for a reunion/birthday celebration. - really, it's about how we complicate life and lose the ability to see with a child's mind in adulthood until we are close to the end of it; what we miss and how the family dynamic comes into play .
I wish I could get a copy on DVD, can't seem to find it in the stores.
