Review of Road House (1989) by Eileen C — 12 Feb 2009

Oh man. This is not a good movie, but it works. Swayze sells the cheesy parts as well as any actor could (the oft-quoted "pain don't hurt") but also conveys an intelligence and understanding of human nature that prevents it from being "only" a bar-fighting movie.

I recommend everyone have it in their video libraries for rainy Saturday afternoons!
