Planet of the apes franchise has to be one of the best franchies ever,everyone of the ape films is good.Rise of the planet of the apes is the best movie i've seen all year.What I loved was that his movie felt like it could be part of the original film series.
This movie was actually scary mainly because the direction was very smartly done and all I was thinking while watching was a chimp ripped some lady's face off which made even more scary.Also this movie gives a well justified reason why the apes take over earth.
The story is great filled with characters you care about and spectacular action.But I was really surprised by john lithgow(dexter,harry and the hendersons and cliffhanger) performance he added like this true natural heart to film which really made even more better.
The special effects are expertly done.I love this movie,Must see summer movie.
