Review of Ride the High Country (1962) by Ben R — 21 Aug 2008
A pretty fantastic latter-day showcase for former matinee stars Randolph Scott and Joel McCrae, both of whom are excellent in this superb western from Sam Peckinpah. The familiar story is made fresh, thanks to a witty script, some great cinematography, and the repore of these two icons of the cinema.
Scott retired after this film in order to "go out with a winner." Recommended.
