Gervais has to be one of the top 5 funniest people in the world. He can talk about absolutely anything and make it drop dead hysterical. I expected his stand up to be more as himself, but I wasn't the least bit disappointed to find out that it was more 'in character'.
He's at his best when he's playing the well-intentioned but clueless buffoon. The bit with the anal sex leaflet had me laughing so hard I was in pain.
