Review of Rick (2003) by Austin J — 26 Jan 2006
Rick is a man who hates his job and his younger boss. When he finds out that his daughter is having cybersex with his boss, Rick plans to have him killed. Nothing goes right.
To put in a word, this movie is depressing. It borders on very very dark comedy. Pullman gives one of the better performances of this career, but that is one of the few things going for it.
The film has some good style to it. Director Curtiss Clayton includes a hilarious song that plays many times in the background (it goes something like: "Put it in yo mouth.").
Worth a rent.
6/10.
