Review of Resurrected (1989) by Håvard H — 07 Jun 2007
This is a very good adaption of "The Strange Case of Charles Dexter Ward" by H.P. Lovecraft, directed by none other than Dan O'Bannon. It's a little long, and the FX are perhaps a bit outdated.
There's no CGI here. But it has a creepy and unpleasant feel to it, even if it's not downright scary. There's a rumour about a director's cut that may have aired on TV at one point. It's supposed to be even better, but the theatrical cut is all that is available on DVD at the moment.
Either way, a must-see if you are a horror fan!
