Review of Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles (2011) by Mike D — 21 Feb 2012
A must see for anyone interested in conspiracy theories or real life mysteries. Up and down the east coast and even in South America there are tiles being embedded into the ground that read the same message:
TOYNBEE IDEA.
IN MOVIE '2001'.
RESURRECT DEAD.
ON PLANET JUPITER.
This has been a mystery that people have attempted to solve for decades. Who put these down? Why? How does he place them in places like the middle of the highway or the entrance to the Holland tunnel? This documentary follows three people who try to find out. They start by following three leads, one which actually gives them an address. Whether correct or not, they do indeed come to a conclusion that is more than a fascinating. Although there are not even many flaws from a film making standpoint, if there were it could be overlooked thanks to the interesting subject matter and the films ability to keep you intrigued as you solve the mystery with Justin Duerr, Steve Weinik, and Colin Smith.
