Review of Reds (1981) by Shane P — 05 Mar 2008
An incredibly sweeping epic. Warren Beatty and Diane Keaton are at their best and it's nice to see Jack Nicholson play a character like Eugene O'Neill. Jack's still edgy, but there's warmth and sadness in his character, too.
You get to see why he's such an amazing talent-if you'd already forgotten. And the actual documented testimonies strewn throughout are perhaps the best part of the entire movie.
