Review of Red State (2011) by Pete H — 14 Aug 2014
This review might be a little biased because of my love for Kevin Smith, but Red State reminds me of everything that used to be in the horror genre. Nothing too flashy, more slow burning than anything.
Smith takes a fairly complex and sensitive subject and turns it into a full out riot. John Goodman and Michael Parks shine as protagonist and antagonist. Eerie, funny, and not too smart.
