Review of Red Heat (1988) by Antony W — 07 Jan 2008
Ah yes the 80s and shwarzennegger, here he plays a russian cop, in america come to escort a criminal home, naturaly things go wrong, and with chicago wisecracking cop james belushi go on to bring him back in, this was formula in 80s, mismatched cop, buddy movies, from lethal weapon to k9(again belushi with a dog) and great to se the mighty arnold getting in on act, he is great in this, this was his best time, tte 80s, along with terminator and predator, a powerhouse, yes plot is typical 80s crime film, as in it doesent matter, this is a buddy movie its about belushi and schwarzennegger, and there great, belushi full off one liners, and schwarzennegger muscle and one liners, nice action too, and a opening scene where you think have I got right film, I wanted schwarzennegger not gay pawn, but then he enters, and you know your ok.
