Review of Red Cliff (2008) by Kevin K — 07 Feb 2010
Wow. Had I seen this film last year it would have easily made my top ten of 2009. It's breathtaking. The visual grandeur of the film is truly something to behold. The story is just as beautiful. It's a sweeping epic, full of emotion and drama.
Easily the best film of it's kind since "Hero", and John Woo's finest film. Make sure to see the international version that is split into two parts, not the hacked and slashed U.S. version.
Highest recommendation.
