Review of Rango (2011) by Adrien B — 03 Nov 2012
Do not be fooled by what this seems to be: yet another glorified 3D Saturday morning cartoon. Rango has a different audience in mind. Sure, it dabbles in the occasional slapstick humour, but everything else, from the story to the pacing to the references makes it a clever, mature animation movie made by, but not exclusively for, western afficionados. It's funny, fast-paced, interesting all along, and polished to a shine.
Do yourself a favor and go see it.
