Review of Radio Days (1987) by Andrew R — 23 Feb 2008
Every New Year's Eve at 12:01 (I guess that'd make it New Year's Day), I toss this DVD into the player. (Which says a lot, I think, about my New Year's Eves.) It may be my favorite Woody Allen movie (not his best, but my favorite) and is packed with so many lovely and funny and nostalgic moments, it's hard to resist.
Keaton's cameo song; Danny Aiello hauling Mia Farrow off to his mother's before he plans to shoot her; the crooks answering the phone and guessing the right song on the radio show...the good stuff just keeps on coming.
And a hat tip to Josh Mostel for his wonderful portrayal.
