Review of Rabbits (2002) by Archibald T — 11 Jul 2009

A companion piece to Inland Empire. In that film you see the rabbits because they play a part in that film. This was another one of those creepy puzzles that Lynch creates except we don't know exactly what it really means.

We have to figure out the puzzle. His films are like dreams/nightmares. There's one part in this short film that scares the shit out of me and it's when the room turns red and a creepy ambience settles in then we see one of the rabbits enter holding up in the air two lit candles.

Then what looks like a match striking up in the ceiling creates a flame which goes out. Then the red disappears we're to normal. If any of that doesn't make sense to you, watch the short. It's really hard to describe it in words.
