The idea seemed promising-a retelling of the Ramayana from Raavan's perspective-and it received enough hype to make you want to watch it. The camera work was excellent, the locations were beautiful and Abhishek Bachchan's performance was surprisingly good, but his plastic toy bride singlehandedly ruined the film with a little help from whoever came up with the random songs that were thrown in for kicks.
