Review of Queen of Earth (2015) by Patricia S — 23 Dec 2015
This was an odd one. It tries to do a lot of really unique things, but I guess they didn't totally resonate with me at all times. This could be called Passive-Aggressive: The Movie, as Elisabeth Moss and Katherine Waterston play two best friends who take a trip to a lake house to get away from traumatic events in their lives.
But being shut in with someone doesn't always go as well as you hope it might. The rubber band of tension strains and waits to snap, and you know it's going to happen, but you don't know where it will end up.
It's very moody and not the easiest watch. The acting is pretty great though.
