Review of Punch-Drunk Love (2002) by Maxwell S — 25 Jun 2012
Coming from the a person who hate Adam Sandler on just about every level, this film was nothing short of a masterpiece. The constant weird thrills that this gives you puts you into a state of mind that no other films could possibly do.
P.T. Anderson is my favourite director and he is the only person that would make me like a movie that stars Adam Sandler. Anyway, if you like comedies that are mindless and crack a joke every 30 seconds or if you like romances that are cute and sweet, then this film is not for you.
This film is dark, (not just because it was shot with underexposed shots) which is the main way I like it. If you have a relatively dark sense of humour, or an interest in art house, then this one will definitely intrigue you.
