Review of Promoted (2015) by Mike C — 09 Sep 2015

I was a huge Freeks and Geeks fan so I figured I'd give this a shot. since Samm Levine stars in it. If you're easily offended then it probably won't be for you. But if you can appreciate crass and politically incorrect humor then this is definitely better than most of the corny crap that you'll find in indie comedies.

Samm Levine was really funny, and Aries Spears was hilarious as a gay gangsta rapper. The old lady from Seinfeld was also pretty funny, much dirtier than her role on the show. A couple of the jokes were stupid and not all of the characters were that great, but overall it was a really funny movie for what it was.

Just don't go into it thinking that you're about to watch some award winning studio movie.
