Review of Professor Marston and the Wonder Women (2017) by Martin D G — 12 Oct 2017
Fantastic biopic - I've been looking forward to this all year, especially after the Wonder Woman film. The story of Dr. William Marston, inventor of the lie detector test, and creator of the Wonder Woman character.I love biopics and this one does everything right. It's not jumping all over the place, focusing on the relationship between Marston, his wife Elizabeth, and their romantic partner Olive.
Flawlessly mapping out time to discuss their relationships and issues that followed, the invention of the lie detector, and the creation of Wonder Woman made this film such a treat. You learn about these people and their flaws, at a time when their relationship caused many problems for their families. And you get that largely unknown origin of Wonder Woman comics, the underlying themes and all. It's a beautiful story, touching, looks amazing, very graphic at times. Check it out!
