Review of Pride (2009) by Yaneth E — 07 Feb 2008
Jim Ellis is my kind of man. Enjoyed the recount of his testimony.
I especially enjoyed this movie, because Mr. Ellis spoke to the inner-city teens about things that I think need to be cried aloud more often. He kept it real with them and called them on the carpet about their ignorance, actions, and reactions. He challenged them to live above the influence and status quo. He introduced them to a different way of thinking and helped them understand that RESPECT is EARNED. He taught them that there IS reward for hard work, even if everyone tells you otherwise.
