This film seems to ahve slipped under my radar and probably wasn't even released in the local cinemas. I saw it on Pay-to-view and it's BRILLIANT. Based on a true life story of a man who comes to a poor black neighbourhood and coerces some of the local layabouts to form a swim team.
they in turn experience racial prejudices, the threat of their pool closure, and battle with their own demons. Fantastic, a must see. The man who's life story it's based on has a cameo too.
