Along with the breakfast club, ferris buler's day off, and st. elmo's fire - this movie is the brat pack at their best. while it is almost identical to molly ringwald's sixteen candles, this high school love story is a classic.

Jon cryer is duckie, the lovestruck best friend of andie (molly). and is one of the most adorable and hilarious characters to ever grace the silver screen. his dance to 'try a little tenderness' is one of the most recognized scenes of the 80s. the ending of pretty in pink was highly questioned and has created a debate that has yet to die - but there is an added alternate ending that, to me, is perfectly suitable.
