Review of Pop Aye (2017) by Jeremiah C — 18 Jun 2017
Pop Aye tells the story of a chance encounter, a disenchanted architect bumps into his long-lost elephant on the streets of Bangkok. Excited, he takes his elephant on a journey across Thailand, in search of the farm where they grew up together.
Overall, Pop Aye is a wonderful first-feature debut for Kirsten Tan. Pop Aye is such a heart-warming documentary about a man and his elephant. It's a documentary that is very unlikely, and incredible to see.
