Review of Poor Boy's Game (2007) by Miranda S — 06 Jan 2009
A very powerful story about love in the midst of violence, redemption in the midst of loss and, above all, the spirit of humanity. Sutherland and Glover are amazing at displaying their characters' strength and vulnerability, as well as showing the somber nuances of the characters' relationship.
The film's look at the social mentality shaping the lives of its protagonists enhances the story immensely, adding yet another dimension to a very unique and intriguing film.
