Review of Perfect Sense (2011) by Steve W — 27 Jul 2012
A very unique and bold film that is a mix of an apocalyptic sci-fi tale and a love story. A epidemiologist named Susan and a chef named Michael have a one night stand. Then they meet up later when one of them loses their sense of smell. Then everyone begins losing their senses.
It is a very experimental film which plays around with the romance, but they manage to find new ground with the images they use and are able to convey. There is usage of bright colours and an enigmatic narrator which conveys theme from time to time.
I'm not quite sure what to think of this movie, but I liked it.
