Review of Patti Cake$ (2017) by Tim 'Mel' A — 10 Feb 2018
I didn't expect much of this movie. Thought it would be a remake of 8 Mile, New Jersey style. I was wrong. I felt more emotions for this crew than I thought I would. It's not an unfamiliar story line, but the telling of it feels much more real than I expected.
This was a gem disguising itself as a diamond in the rough. This could do for Danielle MacDonald what Precious did for Gabby Sidibe.
